SHEPHERD
SLURPEES
"Frosty Paws" is a
commercially-made ice cream for dogs and I never
met a dog that didn't like it.
Here is a quick
and easy home-made version which makes about
18 Shepherd Slurpees!
1 quart plain
vanilla yogurt
1 medium banana
2 Tablespoons
peanut butter-smooth or crunchy
2 Tablespoons honey
Puree the banana in a food processor
or blender
Add the peanut butter and honey
and continue processing until smooth.
Add yogurt and
process just long enough to blend all ingredients
together.
Place 18 small paper cups (bathroom size)
in a baking pan (one 9x13 or two 8x8 work well).
Fill paper cups to about 2/3's full.
Freeze until solid.
You can transfer the frozen
treats to zip-lock bags for storing in the
freezer. |
